ZRA Smart Invoice for shops & retail

Fast counter sales, compliant receipts, and stock that reconciles — without your till ever stopping. Fiscari keeps a busy shop selling even when ZRA or the internet is down.

What a shop actually needs

Fast, compliant receipts

Every sale prints a ZRA-compliant tax receipt with QR code and SDC details, with consecutive tamper-proof numbering — no double capture on a separate portal.

Stock that reconciles

Sales draw down stock in real time, with stock takes, adjustments and item master sync so your shelves and your records agree.

Multiple tills & branches

Run more than one counter or shop under one system, each transmitting to ZRA, with user roles and a full audit trail.

Keeps selling offline

If ZRA is down or the line drops, the till keeps issuing receipts and transmits automatically once the connection returns.

Credit notes & returns

Handle refunds and returns properly with credit notes linked to the original receipt and reason codes.

VAT reports for month-end

Export VAT reports and schedules to Excel in the format your accountant asks for.

Questions, answered

Does Fiscari work as a retail POS in Zambia?

Yes. Fiscari issues ZRA-compliant tax receipts at the counter with the QR code and SDC block, keeps stock reconciled as you sell, and supports multiple tills and branches — while remaining fully Smart Invoice compliant.

What happens at the till when ZRA or the internet is down?

You keep selling. Fiscari issues receipts and queues them, then transmits to ZRA automatically once the connection is back, so a busy counter never stops.

Is Smart Invoice mandatory for retail shops?

If your shop is VAT-registered, yes — electronic invoicing via ZRA Smart Invoice is required under SI No. 58 of 2023, and since January 2025 only Smart Invoice invoices qualify for input VAT claims.
